Getting inspiration in the Haarlemmerstraat in Amsterdam Holland

Goodmorning, today I walked through the Haarlemmerstraat and made pictures of shops that inspired me. Unfortunately, I can not show you all the stores because this blogpost is too short for the numbers of stores.
The text below is taken from Wikipedia

Haarlemmerstraat is a street in the center of Amsterdam. The street is an extension of the Nieuwendijk westbound from the Singel to the Korte Prinsengracht. By extension, called the street Haarlemmerdijk until het Haarlemmerplein, where the street continues as Haarlemmerweg. For the city expansion in 1593 was the Haarlemmerpoort the height of the Singel. After moving to the west de Spaarndammerdijk came to be within the city walls and was the first part of the Haarlemmerstraat. Haarlemmerdijk was built during the construction of the first part of the Canal since 1612. Haarlemmerstraat is a busy shopping street. In 2012 the combination Haarlemmerstraat / Haarlemmerdijk was voted "best shopping street of the Netherlands.

Haarlemmerstraat

Is one of the streets of Amsterdam, where I love to walk through . If you walk across the Rembrandsplein, the Kalverstraat and then over the Dam to the Nieuwendijk, straight through to the end of the Nieuwendijk, you will come in a different world because now you enter into the Haarlemmerstraat. There is a different kind of crowd here than in the two famous shopping streets where you just walked through.

Soap & Co.

At no. 59 you will find this store. You just can not pass because the aroma lures you inside. Soap & Co sells personal care products for face, body and hands. Simply take a look inside. It's not exactly lowbudget but the colors and design is for me an inspiration.

Hollandaluz

On no. 71 you will find Hollandaluz with his Spanish gifts, catering, workshops and you can eat also there. There you can indulge yourself if you are a lover of Spain because they sell all kinds of things and everything that has to do with Spain.

Ibericus

Further at no. 93 you will find Ibericus . A Spanish restaurant which looks from the outside as a foreign butchery. My stomic going up and down when I looked inside.

The World of Sukha

Don't miss this shop at no. 110. A very nice little shop selling clothes, textiles , decorations and gifts. All "ecologically" responsible maded. A refreshing interior where mostly white and natural is the main color. I 'm totally in love with this shop. Check pictures once below. In the middle of the store a hanging bed .

Stach

For a delicious sandwich .... yummy ...

Papabubble

Do you like delicious sweets then Papabubble is the right place to be. This handmade candies are made in the kitchen behind the shop. In front of the store this lady was sorting sweets and we tried some of then. They were really nice and they showed us that the letter H in the middle of the sweet is 3D  created.

There were more other shops that I liked and that I took a picture from but the most fun I've described here. Hope this blog gives you a reason to even look at the Haarlemmerstraat because it is a very nice street and also very entertaining .

Were you recently also in the Haarlemmerstraat and have you visited one of these stores ? Please leave a comment at the bottom of this blog post.

Greetings Paula
