2 or 3 years ago nobody knew what micellar water is. Over the years, you are bombarded by the various beauty and skincare brands. In this blogpost I give my opinion about the micellar water.
What is micellar water?
Micellar Cleansing Water is a mild skin cleanser that not only can be used for your face but also for removing eye makeup. Whether waterproof or not, the micellar cleansing water gets without rubbing, scrubbing or skin, rinse off.
A micelle is a microscopic structure of a number of molecules of a surface-active agent in water. The cleaning action based on the fact that such molecules grease and dirt encapsulate their fatty tails. The result is a ball with all the heads on the outside: a micelle. And because the molecular heads are water-loving, the micelles thus helping to wash away the grease and dirt. The molecular interaction with the cotton pad shows an important element in the cleanout. The water contains absolutely no alcohol.

Aq, micellair cleansing water from the Action
One day I walked through the Action and saw that they also started selling Micellar Cleansing water. What? The Action sells Micellar water? Yes indeed. Of course I was very happy because it was so cheap ... € 1.39! At home I've got two bottles Micellar water from Garnier that I bought during a sale at the drugstore Kruidvat and this was expensive and a lot of more than € 1.39! Because I have the intention only buy low-budget products this product is welcome in my stash.
Does it really works?
Yes, it really works. Every morning and evening I take a large cottonpad and put some water on the pad. I remove all foundation, concealer and eyeshadow in one time from my face. The water is odorless and feels soft on your skin. It removes without rubbing all of your face.
It is recommended to use it every morning because it removes oiliness in this way that might have accumulated on the skin during the night and prepare the skin for applying your daily makeup.
Can I make my own micellar water?
Yes, that's possible. Add the following ingredients in a glass bottle of 150 ml and shake it well.
90 ml rose water.
3 ml of castor oil. It is best to buy sulfated castor oil. This variant is in fact soluble in water and can thus enhance the good properties of micellar water. Castor oil is very effective and convenient for external use. The oil is even able to clean the face of difficult to remove makeup, including waterproof mascara.
Vitamin E. Vitamin E capsules to buy at the pharmacy. For this recipe you badly need 20 drops.
5 ml essential rosehip oil.
A glass bottle of 150 ml.
You can even store it in a small spray bottle to use outside the door easier. Micellar water is simply fantastic!
My advice is to use micellar water so you do not have two products to use but only 1 bottle that does everything. I am satisfied with the micellar cleansing water of Action and will immediately buy a whole stock before I see an empty shelf in the Action.
