ImpressionTorrevieja , Spain , Alicante region

Goodmorning, does anyone know where Spain is? Have you ever been to Spain? Several times I went to Spain by plane but  I never went to Torrevieja and last September I've been there for a holiday. Went there for 10 days I've rd absolutely no regrets. Come with me to Torrevieja for an apartment with a pool behind the house.
Torrevieja a small seaside resort between two salt lakes and a half hour drive from Alicante. We stayed there at the home of my niece and her husband. A flight of two hours from Amsterdam. We had a car at our disposal and every day we hiked but also took the car to move.

HABANERAS (Centro Commercial Habaneras Torrevieja)

A shopping mall with a variety of shops such as Zara , H & M, C & A, Bershka, Springfield, Gerry Weber, and many other shops and restaurants.
On the top floor there where several terraces where you can enjoy of the delicious coffee and cheap meals or sandwiches.

LA ZENIA BOULEVARD ( Centro Commercial Zenia Boulevard)

A little bit outside Torrevieja is another large shopping mall located La Zenia Boulevard. The major chains are represented strongly. Not exactly lowbudget but a lot cheaper than the Netherlands. From the month of May musicians play here that make the atmosphere even extra cozy.

On the top floor there are several restaurants (from mexican to chinese). We choose for an Chinese wokrestaurant where you can eat unlimited for €9,=.
For the rest throughout Torrevieja and perhaps throughout the region Alicante there are lots of Chinese shops. Chinese entrepreneurs generally sell very cheap products from skincare, footwear, clothing, computer accessories to housewares. Head to the Chino Market, Asia Store, Commercial Chino, etc. etc. As shopaholic I've got the creeps when seeing products that are not available in the Netherlands.

THE CENTRE

In the center of Torrevieja, but especially on the promenade, you will find many stores that focus on tourism. The pier of Torrevieja is an attraction on itself which extends from the boulevard into the sea. Next to it is the port. Slightly further afield are the wooden houses where souvenirs are sold. Keep walking along the promenade and there you find a nice shop called ALE HOP. Worth to walk in there. Anything and everything between € 1 and € 10,=.
When we arrived in Torrevieja there was a terrific thunderstorm going on in the town and this is also reflected in the pictures.

THE MARKET

When you are in Torrevieja , you absolutely have to go to the Fridaymarket between 9:00 am and 14:00 pm which is around the streets of Avenida de Paris. The market consists of 1200 stands. This market in Torrevieja is the largest in Spain and is well worth a visit. You'll find all kinds of products from bags to shoes, clothing, pots & pans, fruits and vegetables to fish and meat. The prices are laughable in comparison with the Netherlands . I noticed that in the fruit and vegetable stalls they were all working with latex gloves.

I do not know Torrevieja very well because it was my 1st time. Have you been often in Torrevieja ? Please leave a comment below this blog post with your tips.

Greetings Paula
